Ask it to build, improve, tailor or review your resume. It asks one useful question at a time and writes only what your facts support.
Approve the complete draft
Read the full draft, then say "Send this to Infinite Resume". Nothing is sent before you approve that exact draft.
Connect and open the link
The first time, sign in with Google on infiniteresume.com and allow the connection. The assistant then returns a one-time "Open editable resume" link that expires after 45 minutes.
Choose a template and download
Open the link in a browser signed in to the same account. Choose a template, edit anything you like and download the PDF.
Who is it for?
Students and first-time applicants. Education, real projects, internships, coursework and activities lead when they are your strongest evidence.
Experienced professionals. Recent, relevant work comes first, and older repetition is shortened.
Career changers. Transferable evidence is brought forward while your official job titles and dates stay accurate.
Anyone applying to a specific job. Tailoring separates what your experience supports from what the posting asks for and you do not have.
People with gaps, freelance or contract work. Engagement types are labelled clearly and the chronology stays intact.
Who is it not for?
- Anyone who wants experience, metrics or credentials made up. The plugin will not write them.
- Anyone who needs the AI app to read or change resumes already saved in Infinite Resume. No tool does that.
Which platforms does it work on?
Every platform uses the same writing skill, the same two tools and the same sign-in, and the preview always opens in your browser on infiniteresume.com. They differ only in how you install the plugin.

How do I connect my Infinite Resume account?
The same on every platform:
- The first time the assistant sends a preview, your AI app opens a sign-in page on infiniteresume.com.
- Sign in with Google.
- Check the permissions and choose "Allow connection".
- Go back to the conversation. Connecting sends nothing by itself: the assistant still shows you the complete draft and waits for your approval.
With your permission, the app can:
- Create a preview from resume content you review and approve in chat.
- Replace an unused preview link it created, when you approve the replacement.
- Keep the connection available between visits, until you revoke access.
It does not give the app access to your saved resumes, and the app never sees your password.

What data is sent, and what is not?
What is sent, after you approve?
- The complete resume you approved: every section in the draft, such as summary, experience, education, skills and projects.
- A resume title and a template choice (Classic ATS unless you picked another).
- Basic context: what the draft was built from (for example pasted text, a PDF or a job description), that you approved it, and the target role and company if you gave them.
- Contact details only if you include them. Email, phone and links are optional; only the name you want on the resume is required.
What is never sent?
- Your conversation, uploaded files or source documents.
- The assistant's notes, and any claim you did not confirm.
- Your password. You sign in on infiniteresume.com, and the AI app never sees it.
- Anything before you approve the draft. Connecting your account sends no resume.
How long do preview links last?
- Each link works once.
- It expires 45 minutes after it is created.
- It opens only for the Infinite Resume account you connected. Signed out, you are asked to sign in. Signed in to a different account, it is refused. Neither uses the link up.
- If you approve a replacement before opening it, the old link stops working.
- After you open it, use the saved resume from your dashboard. The link cannot be used again.
What does Infinite Resume keep?
- Infinite Resume stores only a hash of the link's token, not the token itself.
- Preview records are kept only as long as needed to run the import, prevent abuse and troubleshoot problems, as the privacy policy describes.
- Once you open the link, the resume is saved in your account like any other resume. You can edit or delete it there.
- If the resume includes contact details, the privacy policy explains how they may be kept and how to ask for deletion.
- Your conversation stays with Claude, ChatGPT or Codex, under that provider's own terms and privacy policy.

What are the limits?
The editable preview needs an Infinite Resume account
You connect it with Google sign-in. The writing and review help works without connecting, and the website builder itself works without an account.
Templates and the PDF are on the website
The plugin does not produce a PDF in the chat. You choose a template and download on infiniteresume.com.
It cannot read your saved resumes
Its only tools are createResumeHandoff and refreshResumeHandoff. Both send a resume you approved; neither reads, lists or edits resumes in your account.
Edits do not sync back to the chat
Changes you make on infiniteresume.com stay there. A new preview creates a separate resume instead of updating a saved one.
Up to 60 previews an hour
The limit applies to each connected account. After that, wait before sending another.
It does not apply for jobs
It cannot send your resume to employers or job sites.
No guarantees
It does not promise ATS acceptance, interviews or job offers, and it never invents an ATS percentage.
Very long sections may need shortening
If a section is too long to send, the assistant tells you and keeps a complete copy-ready draft rather than cutting content silently.
Plugin support depends on your AI app
Whether plugins are available to you is decided by Claude, ChatGPT or Codex and your plan with them.
What if something goes wrong?
The link says "Sign in to open your resume"
The link belongs to the account you connected. Sign in with that account and the resume is saved there. The link has not been used up.
The link says "This link is for a different account"
You are signed in to another Infinite Resume account, so nothing was imported. Sign out, sign in with the connected account and open the link again.
The link says "This link can't be used"
It was already opened, it expired after 45 minutes, or a replacement was approved. If you opened it, the resume is in your dashboard. Otherwise ask the assistant for a new link.
The assistant says the editable preview is not connected
The plugin is installed but not signed in, or its connection is off. You still get a complete draft to copy. In Claude Code, run /mcp to connect; in other apps, connect Infinite Resume from the plugin or connector settings.
Your AI app asks you to sign in again
The connection lapsed or was revoked. Sign in with Google and allow the connection again. Your draft stays in the conversation, and you can ask the assistant to send it.
The assistant reports "Too many plugin requests"
Wait a minute and try again. Previews are limited to 60 an hour for each connected account.
Sending failed and the result is unclear
The assistant does not retry on its own, because the preview may already exist. Ask it to try once more when the problem has passed.
The page says "Browser storage is blocked"
Allow site data for infiniteresume.com, or use a normal (non-private) window, then try again.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Infinite Resume plugin free?
Yes. The plugin is free and has no purchasing tools. Finishing on the website is free too: every template, unlimited resumes and unlimited watermark-free PDF downloads. Optional paid AI features on infiniteresume.com are separate.
Will the plugin make up experience or numbers?
No. It writes only what your facts support. When a number is missing, it writes a strong factual version without one, and requirements from a job posting are never added to your resume as if you had them.
Can Claude or ChatGPT see the resumes saved in my account?
No. The plugin has two tools, createResumeHandoff and refreshResumeHandoff, and both only send a resume you approved. There is no tool that reads your saved resumes.
Does the AI app get my Infinite Resume password?
No. You sign in with Google on infiniteresume.com, and the app receives a permission to create previews, not your password.
How long does the preview link last?
It works once and expires 45 minutes after it is created. It opens only for the Infinite Resume account you connected.
Can I download the PDF in the chat?
No. The plugin hands the approved resume to Infinite Resume, where you choose a template, make edits and download the PDF.
Can I update a preview after changing the draft?
Yes, if you have not opened it yet. Once you approve the revised complete draft, the plugin replaces the preview and the old link stops working. After a link has been opened, a new preview creates a separate resume.
Do I need an Infinite Resume account?
Only for the editable preview, which you connect with Google sign-in. The writing and review help works without it, and the website builder works without an account.
How is the plugin different from Infinite Resume GPT?
Infinite Resume GPT is a Custom GPT that works only in ChatGPT. The plugin is built for Claude, ChatGPT and Codex, connects to your own Infinite Resume account, and its preview links open only for that account.
Does it guarantee my resume will pass an ATS?
No. It checks readability against common parsing practices and points out risks, but employer systems and decisions vary, so it never promises ATS acceptance, interviews or offers.
Is the plugin open source?
The plugin's files (its skill, reference guides and manifests) are released under the MIT License. The license does not cover the Infinite Resume name, logo, website or service.
