3. Custom GPT Handoffs: When you ask the Infinite Resume Custom GPT to open your resume in our builder, we create a temporary, one-time import link so you can preview, format, select templates, and download your resume.
4. Account Management: To manage your account, save your progress, and allow you to edit resumes later.
5. Communication: To send you updates regarding service changes, security alerts, or support responses.
6. Service Improvement: To analyze how users interact with our tool so we can fix bugs and improve the AI's accuracy.

Infinite Resume utilizes advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs) to assist you in writing content.

• Data Processing: When you use features like "Generate Summary" or "Rewrite Bullet Points," the text you provide is sent to our AI providers (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, or similar secure APIs) to generate the response.
• No Training on Personal Data: We do not use your personal identifiable information (PII) to train public AI models. Your resume data remains yours.
• Accuracy Disclaimer: AI is a tool for assistance. Users are responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of all AI-generated content before using their resume.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to third parties. We only share information in the following situations:

• Service Providers: We may share data with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate our site (e.g., cloud hosting services like AWS/Google Cloud, AI API providers, and email delivery services). These parties are bound by confidentiality agreements.
• AI and Custom GPT Providers: When you use AI-powered features or the Infinite Resume Custom GPT, relevant inputs may be processed by third-party AI platforms or APIs to provide the requested resume assistance. Their handling of information inside their own products is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information.

• All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology.
• Resumes are stored in secure, access-controlled databases.
• Custom GPT import tokens are short-lived and stored only as hashes on our servers.

However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

• Account resumes: If you create an account, we retain saved resumes while your account is active or until you delete them or request deletion.
• Guest resumes: Guest resume data may be stored in your browser's local storage. You can remove it by clearing browser storage or using in-app deletion tools where available.
• Custom GPT handoffs: GPT import links are designed to be temporary and one-time-use. We keep handoff records only as needed to provide the import flow, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and satisfy legal or security obligations.
• GPT lead/contact details: If a GPT-imported resume includes contact details such as email, name, or phone number, we may retain those details to support follow-up, account conversion, support, abuse prevention, and product communication, subject to your deletion rights.
• Analytics and security logs: We may retain limited logs, hashed identifiers, and aggregate usage data for security, fraud prevention, service reliability, and analytics.

Depending on your location, you have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: You have the right to request copies of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: You can edit your resume data directly within the tool at any time.
• Deletion (Right to be Forgotten): You may request that we delete your account and all associated resume data from our servers.
• Custom GPT Imports: You may delete resumes imported from the Custom GPT in the same way as other Infinite Resume resumes. For ChatGPT conversation or file data, use the controls provided by OpenAI in your ChatGPT account.
• Portability: Since our tool is designed for this, you have the right to download your data (Resume) in a portable format (PDF).
